  • 1.What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

    The NDIS is a new way for people with a disability to receive support to maximise independence, control and access to the community. It is an Australian Government initiative. To find out more about NDIS, go to www.ndis.gov.au .


  • 2. Am I eligible for the NDIS?

    To determine eligibility, go to: https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible or contact the NDIS on 1800 800 110 to make an access request or get in contact with a local area coordinator who can assist you.

  • 3. What services can Vivir offer under the NDIS?

  • 4. I am a NDIS participant, how do I access services from Vivir Healthcare?

    If you are an NDIS participant, you can access our services by requesting your local area coordinator and/or support coordinator to assist. Alternatively, you can contact Vivir Healthcare directly on 1300 184 847 or email ndis@vivir.com.au for more information.


  • 5.What is a Plan Managed Plan?

    This is when a Plan Manager helps NDIS participants manage their NDIS funding. They handle payments to service providers, keep track of budget in each funding category and provide financial reporting to participants.


  • 6. What is a Self-Managed Plan?

    In a self-managed NDIS plan, the participant or their representative manages their own funds directly. Which means, they have more control over how their NDIS funds are spent and shows more visibility on how their funding is tracking.


  • 7. What is an Agency Managed or NDIA Managed Plan?

    The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) manages the funding on behalf of the participant. The NDIA is the one who pays the service providers directly which means the provider needs to be an NDIS registered provider.
